Father's Day

Today we celebrated Father's Day doing whatever Jeremy wanted to do. It started out by letting him sleep in, followed by a hot breakfast of homemade sausage, biscuits, and eggs. After we fueled up we headed to our home-away-from-home - Pismo Beach.

Jackson helped his daddy wax his surf board
And then we played in the sand, swung on the swings and picked up shells.
We stuck our toes in the frigid water - you eventually get used to it because your feet go numb;)

After a yummy lunch stop in San Luis Obispo at Chiptole, Jackson napped on the way home and we got ready to go to the base pool.
*this picture is taken through a screen divider in the toddler pool*
By the time we left the pool, the fog was rolling in - it was windy and 57 degrees - burr! Good thing that water is heated!

Then it was time to come home, eat Chick-Fil-A(which was picked up for us yesterday evening an hour and a half away and kept in the fridge until today;) and play some video games!
*This video game wasn't bloody but was your typical all boy - shoot everything game - which I don't like but Jackson does not play and his daddy doesn't normally have time to play so just this once it was allowed!*

Jackson has really started becoming attached to his daddy and wants to do EVERYTHING his daddy does and it is really sweet to see. He has been such a momma's boy, and still is, but it's nice for him to want to spend a lot more time with his daddy. Hopefully this will still be the case when Jennings is here and is taking up so much of my time.

I also wanted to say Happy Father's Day to my dad. He talked to both of his kids, who are not in NC right now, and we even got to do a web cam with him earlier today. We can't wait to see him in just over a month and I know he is so excited to get out here and spend some time with Jackson. Jackson and Rad-Pa have so many plans for the short time he is here that I won't get to see him at all!
