On Tuesday we had GRAND plans to go to the Lompoc Aquatic Center to let the kids go swimming and do something different. Everyone got ready and we were so excited to go swimming. So into the building we go and unfortunately, it was CLOSED - a group of special needs children were in before the open swim and someone pooped in the pool! Uh Oh....QUICK....What do we do? Mac was on the verge of a breakdown because they were so excited and we had pumped them up! So into the backyard we went with our own pool!
Not quite the same but they had a blast and were soaking wet from head to toe by the time we were done playing. In fact they both passed out within the hour!
Luckily the next day the aquatic center was open for business and this is what we had been looking forward to playing on! YAY!
Until we start climbing on the structure only to be called out by the lifeguards that it is only open on the weekends:( 2 strikes against us but the water AROUND the structure is available to play in.....well thank you for not ruining our kids' day once again - and it actually turned out great. It is a walk-in pool so the water gradually got as deep as 3-4 feet. Jackson and Mac got to run around and splash and jump off the side for a good hour and a half and we all had a blast. Now....just waiting for June 5th when the play structure is open everyday!
