Today we celebrated Jeremy's 30th birthday in our new house with our newest family member who slept almost the whole time. Jackson helped Nana make Jeremy's birthday cake, and as you can see he enjoyed taste testing it afterwards.
Unfortunately I couldn't get Jackson in this picture - this is his friend Aiden helping sing Happy Birthday!
We had just a few close friends over for a lunch of homemade Pork Carnitas, chipotle cilantro lime rice and other yummy sides and appetizers. There was another birthday party to attend later in the afternoon for our friends' 2 year old but with all the activity that has happened in the past week, we decided to law low and we all napped this afternoon. We had a great time celebrating daddy's birthday and mommy is especially grateful that we could all be together today in our house and not in the hospital. He has done a great job at stepping up and taking are of a newborn and an almost 3 year old - not to mention his wife who is also on the road to recovery. I'll post more about all that happened in the past week later on this week - today was just a great celebration of being here for Jeremy's 30th birthday!
