It's been a rough couple of weeks here in the Gore household but we have recovered! We had a week straight of rain 2 weeks ago with heavy downpours and high winds....pretty much a tropical storm. The surf was up to 32 feet high at times and the beaches are out of sand:( Hopefully it will wash back up because out here they don't dredge the sand back onto shore like at home.
Last week me and Jackson were sick.....and we are both 98% fully recovered. Jackson was lucky enough to endure his first ever ear infection. Lucky for us.....or daddy.....he had to go on a work trip right in the midst of it all and I was lucky enough to take care of a SICK little boy. One night we only got 2 hours of sleep.....from 5-7am! And being sick and pregnant is no fun.....I absolutely could not take any medicine except Tylenol but that doesn't do much for a hacking cough and congested chest! YUCK! But we are on the downside....just a day or two more and then I think we'll be 100%!
Yesterday we ventured out to Refugio State Beach so Jeremy and Steve could go surfing. It was definitely high tide but Jackson managed to stay dry and play on the little bit of shore line we had.

We headed into Santa Barbara for a LATE lunch (never keep a pregnant lady hungry; haha!) and did a little walking around before we headed home. It was great to get out of the house and out of town for the day and spend it with our friends. We haven't been to Santa Barbara since we returned Linda to the airport in early December......that's the longest stretch we've ever had I'm pretty sure! Next up to dropping of Jackson's girlfriend tomorrow at the airport for 3 weeks! We sure are going to miss her and our play dates!
