Santa Barbara Zoo

While mom and dad were visiting, we decided to kill a day in Santa Barbara at the zoo. I had been wanting to take Jackson down there since we moved here and we could not have picked a more beautiful day. It was warm, sunny and the beach was literally a stones throw away! We saw all sorts of animals and Jackson loved it.

Here we are on the train that goes around the zoo. It is very similar to the train that goes around Pullen Park in Raleigh.

My favorite part was the elephant. It was quite warm so I imagine the cool water felt great to him.....or her.

Yes.....there were other animals there but he was the coolest!See......there were flamingos - with the elephant's house in the background;) We were too busy running around with Jackson trying to show him all the animals to take many more pictures. He had a great time riding in his wagon checking out the animals but he was exhausted after being in the sun and heat for a couple of hours. We will definitely be heading back that way soon!
