17 months

This getting older stuff has GOT to STOP! I feel like he should not be aloud to get older than 18 months - that is the official cut off month!

So today he shares his 17 month birthday with my mom who turned........35 all over again! He sent her this picture this morning, since his mom just got the card out today! Sorry mom! But we'll celebrate when you are here in a week and 20 minutes!

Jackson is really starting to sound out more sounds and he is talking baby talk - not clear words but enough for us to know exactly what he wants. He is also starting to climb. He climbs up the vanity in the bathroom to reach stuff on top of the counter, he climbs up the window ledge inside the living room. He can reach just about anything on top of the counters if it isn't pushed back more than a couple of inches from the edge. He is definitely getting taller and his appetite is picking up. He is trying to beat a cold right now - leaky faucet of a nose and a cough with all the congestion. It caused a few interrupted nights of sleep but hopefully those are behind us!

Tonight we are on our way to SLO - San Luis Obispo - to hang out at the Farmer's Market with some friends. It is definitely worth the 2 hour round trip. There are all sorts of vendors set up, live music, entertainment for the kiddos, and the whole downtown blocked off with the shops staying open later for the extra dough. We'll probably grab a tri-tip sandwich made on a grill right there on the street and locally grown strawberries that are the size of clementines on top of a brownie! Yummy!
