ding-dong

so we've had a couple of days of jackson being sick with just a fever - ranging from 100.0 to 104.8 (scary - last night)! today he is back to his normal self, with the help of alternating tylenol and motrin to make sure that fever stays away.....far, far AWAY! his room has been picked up, cleaned and he was laid in a nice bed for a good night of restful sleep.

as we sit in the living room, jeremy watching wedding daze and i reading this amazing but very sad and life-changing blog, we hear a doorbell ring. knowing it was not our doorbell but sounding just like the alert i get on my phone when i get a message so we ignored it. but then....there it was again. it wasn't the doorbell, it wasn't my phone, it was coming over the baby monitor and we quickly realized it was coming from j's nursery, where we hear lots of rattling around. then it hits us.....he isn't asleep and he is close enough to his bedside table where a winnie the pooh book sits with the buttons on the side that you press for the sounds in the book.

we can imagine him now, leaning out of his crib through the railings, pointer finger out reaching for the buttons on the side of the book and that is the only button he can get to - ding dong!
