Ahhh....just a day at the beach

Well, I'm a little late in posting so I hope somebody out there is still checking in on me...besides my mom and Jeremy. We had a fabulous week at the beach and it gets harder and harder to leave every time we go. We had people in and out all week visiting and staying a night or two. Jody was able to come this time mid-week thank goodness and we all had a blast.

This past weekend Mom, Dad, me, Jackson and Mema went up to Kerr Lake and stayed in some old friends lake house and relaxed. It was a little on the cool side but we still got in the water and played around. It was a little strange to be in the water and see the leaves changing colors on the shore and the fact that no one else was swimming probably meant that we looked like clowns but oh well. Can't go to the lake and not jump in! It was definitely nice to get back up there but surreal to see Mema's old house down the street and not be able to go in the front door like old times. One day hopefully we can get that house back - too many memories!

On the itinerary this week: dinner with old friends, Morehead family get together Saturday, New Bern Sunday, Bethel Sunday night and back into town Wednesday evening. No sitting still for this mom and son team! Only 2 weeks and 3 days left in NC. Where has the time gone?
