HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve celebration! The Gore household had a few friends over, played some games, ate some food, and even made it until the New Year! Jackson hung out with us and fell asleep at 11:55 pm so he slept through the New Year and Christmas day! Better luck next year hopefully! We had a wonderful Christmas day! We all woke up, opened presents, and in the mid afternoon a bunch of friends came over and we had a BIG Christmas dinner. Jeremy of course fixed his legendary fried turkey, and people brought over all sorts of goodies to go with it. Jackson stayed in his swing for a majority of the day SLEEPING, which was just fine with me - better than the alternative of crying all day!

We then turned around and celebrated the next day, my late twenties birthday - UGH - by going out to dinner with friends and then headed home! All of the old ways of celebrating the holidays and birthdays has taken a backseat when a new bundle joins us, but that is just fine with us! We getting too old to celebrate like we did in our earlier years!

Jackson's 2 month old birthday is tomorrow and it is unbelievable how much he has changed in that short time! He is much more alert during the day, starting to sleep more during the night(fingers crossed), and really gaining a personality. He is all smiles, especially on his changing table, and perks up whenever he hears a familiar voice! We are so in love and can't wait to see what the year holds for our new family and our ever-changing Jackson! We couldn't imagine a day without him in our lives and we are so thankful for all the joy and love he gives us daily! We are just smitten - can't you tell! He has his 2 month check-up on the 8th, so we will see how much he weighs! I'm betting around 12 pounds and 25 inches - he is so long, a lot of his clothes fit his body but are too short! He is growing into more clothes so we're going to have to rotate out his "baby" clothes.

We wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We didn't make New Year resolutions, which has become my New Year resolution, but I am hoping to stay in better contact with everyone so feel free to "call me out" if you don't hear from me! We'll check in later - have a great week!
