NOT a Santa Baby......

While Jeremy's mom has been here we've done LOTS of running around....even with the past 4 days of non-stop rain. Friday we ventured to the mall in the hopes of getting Jackson to sit on Santa's lap before the crowd hit this weekend. Well.....we were successful in getting him to see Santa, but this is about as close as he would get.....even with an offer of candy.
So much for paying ahead of time for the $15 picture?!?!?!.....Why are pictures of your kid scared to death of Santa so expensive? What happen to the $3 Polaroid pictures in the 80's?

What we did discover was worth our money - $2 - was the kiddy Santa train that went round and round about 6 times. Jackson LOVED this and I am pretty sure that he would sit on Santa's lap if he knew he could ride this train.

We are dropping Linda off tomorrow in Santa Barbara so she can head back home. Her hubby misses her greatly and I think she is getting bored sitting around here with nothing to do....ie.....clean, cook, yard work, etc.....

We have enjoyed her company and she gave us reasons to go and do things everyday that we normally wouldn't have done. That's the great part about having visitors.....you get to be a tourist too! We are looking forward to our friends Alexis and Mac to get back to town Tuesday....since they've been gone 3 1/2 weeks. We can't wait to do Christmas things with them...bake cookies, make gingerbread houses, go to the park! Jeremy leaves TDY Tuesday thru Thursday - so it'll be good to have company!

ahh! That pic of Jackson by Santa made me LOL!!! How cute. What is it with Kids being afraid of Santa. I went to my nephews basketball game this weekend and Santa was at the YMCA that morning...we had to strategically move my niece around the YMCA so we wouldn't run into him!! She freaks at the sight of him!
