Yesterday Jeremy checked the surf report on base so he could see about spending the afternoon in the water. The numbers he saw immediately confirmed that he would only be watching the waves from the shore! We were expecting 15-24 foot surf.....we couldn't believe it! So we went down to the beach and checked it out for ourselves!
Looking north
On a normal day we are able to walk about 30 foot out from this drift wood when the tide is out!
Looking south - the haze is the spray from the waves crashing. Normally where you see water is the shoreline.
You can't tell from the pictures but the waves were HUGE and were breaking at least a mile out. Unbelievable!
