Fire Trucks, Fire Hoses and a Fire

Yesterday me and Alexis drug the kids here and there and everywhere. One of our stops was the fire station on base that was holding an open house. We thought the kids would love getting into the firetruck and playing around. At first they were a little shy and didn't quite know what to think of that humongous red truck in front of them.

Here is Jackson trying on the gear.....he is sitting on the back of the boots.
By far their favorite part - and yes....we left a little more wet than we arrived.

He did not want to get down....especially after the guy showed him the walkie talkie and radio.

In their seats ready to roll
"Lets hit it guys!"

"If you aren't going to drive this thing then I am!"
And this is a picture of base on fire last week. We were allowed through the barricades on the highway because we live on base but this was pretty scary.
About a mile from our house.....too close for comfort!
We also did a trial run of parent-tot gymnastics yesterday morning. There was absolutely NO TIME to take a picture of that because I was chasing a toddler around. The class was 45 minutes....felt like 5.....and the parents were more exhausted than the kiddos. I think we are going to try it for the rest of the month and then take a break. We both needed a nap after that good time!

*All pictures taken by my phone...sorry for the quality!*
