La Purisima Mission

Jeremy has been away since Sunday, which feels way longer than it has, so we have been keeping ourselves and our friends busy! Jackson girlfriend's daddy is away with Jeremy in Utah(they are coming home a day early - Friday - YAY!) so we've been having plenty of play dates. We visited the La Purisima Mission in Lompoc yesterday which is always a fun time to spend a few hours here and there. It is the same every time we visit but it's great to get outside, stretch your legs and learn some history.......we do learn something new every time with history because we can only read so much before we're dashing off after the kiddos;)

Here is Jackson and MacNamara at the fountain in the Mission making penny wishes.
Jackson in a bamboo hut that was being built.
Some oink oink's.
Ummm.....some stairs that Jackson loved climbing.
And the only true wildlife we saw.....a baby deer eating. He (or she) let us get pretty close before he (or she) darted off because of some loud kids behind us - our own!
The last time we were there we saw a huge king snake and I almost died so luckily we didn't see any this time.....just lizards and squirrels and turkeys and chickens and horses and donkeys and bulls and goats and sheep and.......a whole lot of animals that were there in pens on purpose!
