Hot Days....cool play

We are having a heat wave in California.....I found out from my friend Corina who asked me if we were keeping cool! I had no idea.....I thought we were finally getting some warm summer weather - our days have finally reached into the low 70's on the coast. However, the inland valleys are definitely getting hit with 90-100 degree days as we just experienced the past couple days camping.....but that's a whole 'nother post!

We finally got to the base pool and Jackson experienced the water for the first time since last summer in the base pool in Montana when he was 7 months. At first he was a little hesitant but then he warmed up to it and LOVED it! So much so that his little lips were turning a slight shade of purple and he was shivering but he would not stop getting in the pool! The water - by the way - was supposed to be heated - not so much!

This is the toddler pool - the side Jackson is on is 1 1/2 feet deep and then it is separated by a net from the 4 foot deep section.
Jackson loved being thrown into the air and then right back into the water. He even went under - by surprise - and didn't cry a bit - in fact he has been practicing in the bath tub sticking his face under water and then laughing!
Last Saturday the new top-handers threw their "pup" party - the newest guys host a party for the top-handers and their families and Jackson was able to get in and enjoy his first bouncy house. All the little ones were in at the same time and they all loved it!
Jackson would stand there and be bounced by the others and giggle the whole time! Too much fun!
