Sand Stew Sun Surf

Today we enjoyed a day at Jalama Beach with some friends. When we left home it was sunny, warm and felt like the perfect day to spend on the beach. When we FINALLY arrived at Jalama (after a stop at Walmart, gas station, looking for lost dogs(not ours), buying wax for surf boards, and Starbucks) it was warm in the camp ground but once we rounded the corner to get on the beach, the wind was out of the north and COLD! Luckily I am pretty prepared for this non-beach-like weather with jackets and hats. Jackson loved playing in the sand and harassing every single dog he saw and never seemed to be bothered by the wind. Meanwhile all I could think about was how awesome it would be to own a Snuggie and have it on the beach, on my body of course. I'm looking into it and wishing they made a water and sand proof one.

This is a funny picture of Jackson after he raided the pots and pans cabinet and brought this one in the family room to hang out in. Yummy Jackson Stew!

Here is my little daredevil after climbing onto the sofa, then on the top of the sofa to point at a picture of himself when he was 6 months old.

Jalama Beach....looking north at base which is about 45 minutes away driving time.

On Jeremy's banana this morning was this sticker. You probably can't read it but it made me laugh for several minutes and every time I saw him. It reads: Place sticker on forehead and laugh. How cute of you Chiquita Bananas.
