After we dropped Jody off at LAX on Sunday, we decided to take the scenic route home (which would later bite us in the behind because little man was WAY tired of being trapped in his car seat....never again will we do that to him....or us!) We drove to the Santa Monica Pier, which you can drive down and pay $7 to park on and then go participate in some fabulous people watching(Crystal - just thought of you and Weston - ha ha). We didn't stay long, in fact, we never got out of the car into that crowd so then we headed North, towards home but on the infamous Pacific Coast Highway. We finally caught the sunset along with hundreds of others. The sides of the highway have pull-off lanes and it was bumper to bumper as everyone was out with their cameras just for the sunset.
It was a beautiful ride back until about 1 1/2 hours from home, when Jackson decided enough is enough....*get me out of my car seat and don't put me back in.* Poor thing....he was teething some molars, was a little constipated and very tired and that makes for one MISERABLE BABY and when baby ain't happy.....we DEFINITELY ain't happy and we were so ready to get home.
Jackson wanted me to let everyone know, if you want to come visit him, you have to fly in closer....Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria.....anywhere within an hour or so radius. 6 hours in the car is too long for this boy and the LA traffic does a number on my nerves! But we still love Jody and would do it all over again.....just kidding....no, but really we would at least think about it!
