to this little guy in exactly 1 year!
He started sitting up on his own at 6 months.....to crawling one day before he turned 10 months......to pulling up a couple weeks after that.... and now he is walking laps around the house all day long. We have enjoyed watching him change in such a short amount of time and are excited for what this year holds for our family. So far we don't have much planned. A trip to NC in February for our friend's wedding, family coming out in May to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and my parents 30th anniversary. Jeremy will be gone 15 weeks this year with work and we have MANY friends, and some family(linds!), expecting their 1st child and a few expecting their 2nd little bundle.
We are adjusting well to living in California. It is a nice change to have 50 degree winters instead of the brutally cold teens we suffered through in Montana for 3 years. We do miss seeing some snowflakes fall every now and then and we think Bo really misses the snow, but letting him run up and down the beach and into the water makes up for it I think. We get to travel up and down the coast, discovering our new favorite places and taking pictures of the water. I have yet to get a sunset picture, but that will be happening sooner than later.
We've already had a few visitors to come out. My mom flew out with me and Jackson when we moved here and we did just a little sightseeing. My brother and the band were out here in November. Although they didn't get the chance to come up and see us, me and Jeremy were able to go down and watch their show from backstage and hangout afterwards. Right now Jody is out here with us, bringing in the New Year until he flies back to Michigan on Sunday. We would love for more people to come out and help us discover more of California and enjoy the fabulous, sunny year-round weather. So go ahead and book those plane tickets and come on out for a few days, weeks, months.....but you'll have to get a job after too much longer than that....or rent your own apartment!
So anyway....there is just a tiny reflection on our past year and a glimpse of what is to be expected in this new year. I'm sure we'll have some surprises.....I mean, we do have a 14 month old living with us.....but hopefully it will only be good surprises!
I have set a few New Year's resolutions, only to be known by me....just in case they don't work out in a few weeks ;)
What are your resolutions or did you set any?
