We are back from our 12 month well-baby check up appointment for Jackson....a couple weeks after the fact. Here is how he is looking:- weight: 20.7lbs (13th percentile)
- height: 29.2 in. (50th percentile)
- head: BIG.....79th percentile - for all that brain growing inside!
This is our first time seeing the pediatrician on base and I LOVE him. He is just a year or two older than us, has one child, and is so laid back and personable. He's a no pressure sort of guy - doesn't pressure you into anything...such as shots...but wants to make sure you understand what could be possible risks if you don't get them but is all for spacing them out and delaying them. He is very pleased with Jackson's progression with growing and developmental milestones with walking...almost...and eating table foods and drinking from a cup....ya know...all the tough stuff a 1 year old has to go through. So we will see him back at 15 months for another check-up. Jackson did get blood drawn to test for anemia (completely standard for 1 year) and that was TOUGH! They poked and poked and couldn't get a vein so he cried and screamed and I about hit someone - not a good time! Thank goodness Jeremy was there to hold him and I didn't have to! So we got that finished with a prick of the finger and we were off to home for nap time! He did get a Sesame Street bandaid that he loved admiring.
Tonight we are going to a wine tasting at the Officer's Club here on base. About 10-15 local wineries are coming to pour for all of us adults that got babysitters for the night. Hopefully I'll get a picture or two between sips!
Have a great weekend!
